Not just the Pakistan cricket team, but their entire cricketing fraternity seems to be hungover with their twin losses to India and USA, in the T20 World Cup. While the blame game had already begun last week, now former skipper Shahid Afridi has come forward and warned, that he will ‘expose’ the individuals, who have played part in Pakistan’s downfall, but after the World cup ends.
In an interview with Geo News, Shahid Afridi raised questions on the unity of the team. “He knows many things, and so do I, but we cannot talk openly. I will speak openly after the World Cup, our people themselves have spoiled this unit,” Afridi. On being asked about Shaheen Afridi, he said, “If I talk about something, people will say that I am supporting my son-in-law, although I am not. If my daughter, son or son-in-law are wrong, I will also call them wrong,” he claimed.
Rift Between Babar Azam & Shaheen Afridi?
For quite some time now, there have been numerous reports talking about a rift between two of the most senior players of the side — Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi. Then a few months back, Babar was once again given the leadership role, further souring the ties between the two?

Pakistan Qualification Scenario
Pakistan need to win their remaining two matches, after losing vs IND and USA. Also, USA, who is on 4 points, need to lose to Ireland and India both, or else they’ll finish with six points. That means automatic ouster for Pakistan. They also need to pray that Ireland beat USA and then they win their matches by huge margins vs Canada and Ireland. So, all in all, it is a tough ask.
