India’s best bowler Jasprit Bumrah not in Top 100 of ICC T20I Rankings

ICC T20I rankings: India's ace bowler Jasprit Bumrah not in top 100 rankings, Why? Find out the exact reason

Jasprit Bumrah is arguably the best white-ball bowler in the world. And currently he is the best bowler in the Indian Cricket Team. However, despite performing at the top level, Bumrah is still not inside the top ICC 100 T20I rankings. The main reason for the same is owing to his absence from cricket for over a year due to injury.

Not in Top 100 of ICC Rankings

Jasprit Bumrah is currently ranked 110 in the ICC Rankings among T20I bowlers. Bumrah recently hogged the limelight after his extraordinary bowling spell in the IND vs PAK clash in the ICC T20 World Cup. The ace Indian bowler overcame all odds to help India defend a paltry target of 120. At the end, Men in Blue clinched a 6 run victory.

Injury forced Bumrah out of ICC Rankings

India’s ace bowler was side-lined for quite sometime with a long injury break. Back in July 2022 Jasprit Bumrah suffered a back injury. This ruled him out of action for quite sometime. However, the Indian pacer finally went under the knife to get his stress fracture treated.

Following this he went on to miss the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup. But Bumrah has been back in action since August of 2023. However, the ace pacer hasn’t been involved much in T20I matches since then. Bumrah has played very few T20I games. As a result, he is currently out of the top 100 in ICC T20I rankings.
