No batting practice for Azam Khan during training, could be left out of IND vs PAK match: Report

IND vs PAK: In the last five matches for Pakistan, Azam Khan has returned with scores of 0, 0, 11, 18, 30. His poses selection challenges in T20 World Cup.

After a disappointing loss in PAK vs USA match, and then the severe criticism following it, Pakistan might just go in with some changes in their playing XI in the match against India on June 9, in Nassau County, New York. One of them could be the ouster of keeper-batter Azam Khan, who has been poor in the last few matches he has played for his side.

T20 World Cup

In the USA match, Azam Khan scored a duck. In fact, in his previous match, prior to the T20 World Cup, he was out for a duck again, vs England on May 30. That has been a regular feature for the 25-year-old, who has been an utter failure in international cricket till now. In the 14 T20Is so far, he has only 88 runs, at an average of 8 and a highest-score of 30.

Azam Khan Could be Dropped for IND vs PAK

Now, as per a report in Geo News, Azam Khan was left isolated during Pakistan’s practice session on Saturday. The pudgy player didn’t do any batting practice, which hint at his exclusion from IND vs PAK match. For his repeated poor scores, he has been a soft target for trolls on social media as well.

His fitness is always under the scanner, and fans have targeted that continuously. Recently Azam deleted all the posts from his Instagram account, the report further said.
