Euro 2024 Squad Submission: Deadline day arrives as teams finalise final squad list for mega tournament

7th June arrives, it is the D-Day for the UEFA Euro 2024 Squad Submission as Spain, Germany submit squad before Deadline ends

And finally the D-Day has arrived. It is the date for the UEFA Euro 2024 Squad submission date. The clock is ticking, and teams will have today to submit their final squads. Team head coaches has have today till 11 PM to finalise and submit their 26-member squads. While the likes of Netherlands, Spain have already submitted their final squads, the rest are likely to follow suit.

When is Euro 2024 Squad Submission Deadline?

The UEFA Rules are pretty much straight regarding the matter. Every team needs to officially submit their squads 7 days prior to the start of the tournament. Teams can make changes in their provisional squad, but the final squad needs to be submitted exactly a week prior to the start of the tournament.

Will teams be able to make changes after final squad submission? The answer to this is Yes. Teams can replace injured players but with certain limitations. The injured players can be replaced from the final squad, provided the team haven’t played their opening game of the tournament.

Today, i.e. 7th June is the Final Squad Submission deadline for UEFA Euro 2024. The mega tournament is slated to kick start on 14th June. For Indian fans, it is on 15th June at 12:30 AM as hosts Germany kick start their campaign against Scotland.

UEFA Euro 2024 Squad submission Rules

The squad strength for Euro 2024 is 26 members, contrary to 23 members as was the case in the pre covid era. For the squad submission procedure, the respective Football Association (FA) of the countries must submit the final squad list online to UEFA within the deadline along with a signed copy of the same to the Euro Headquarters.
