Catch of T20 World Cup! Mohammad Rizwan falls to Steven Taylor’s one-handed stunner in PAK vs USA

Rizwan's wicket was the first domino to fall, as Pakistan lost three wickets in the powerplay and fell behind the game as the USA bowlers dominated.

Who would have thought that the USA would have Pakistan in hot water? The home team completely dominated the heavy favorites, reducing them to 26/3 in the PAK vs USA match. All of that happened due to Steven Taylor’s miraculous one-handed catch. Standing at second slip, the all-rounder dived to his right to claim what can easily be labeled as the catch of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Steve Taylor’s brilliance causes a collapse

Mohammad Rizwan, who’d scored all of Pakistan’s runs, had been outdone by a great ball by Saurabh Netravalkar that went decked away from him. The outside edge flew quickly towards Taylor, who plucked the ball mere inches away from the ground on full stretch, almost reminding everyone of the famous Dwayne Leverock catch of Robin Uthappa at the 2007 ODI World Cup.

The catch changed everything. In the next over Usman Khan fell and Fakhar Zaman followed soon after. In 20 balls, USA got three wickets and Pakistan scored just 17 runs. All of this happened because Steven Taylor flew to his right and claimed the blinder.
