Apart from the contest between the two teams, it’ll be interesting to watch the small battles, played among the players of both teams. Here are 5 of the exciting player’s matches we are looking forward to ahead of the UCL final.

Erling Haaland vs Francesco Acerbi

Haaland is currently the best striker in Europe. In his very first season at City, he shattered several records and helped them be in contention for the treble. The 35-year-old Acrebi on the other hand is a veteran defender, who proved himself influential this season while being on loan for Inter Milan.

Insidesport

Haaland is the top scorer of the Champions League this season with 12 goals, whereas Acrebi has managed to keep big strikers silenced this season. It’ll be interesting to watch if Haaland’s physique and good form win over the Italian’s experience or not.

Nicolo Barella vs Kevin de Bruyne

It is said that the game might belong to the midfielders and if that happens, then these two might come on top. Kevin de Bruyne as usual has been insane for Manchester City this season assisting 24 times. Barella on the other hand is a regular starter for his team and involved in 12 goals in Serie A this season.

Insidesport

It’ll be interesting to see who among both the playmakers come on top after the game ends.

Dumfries vs Jack Grealish

The right side of the pitch will witness an interesting battle between the Dutch defender and the English winger. Dumfries has shown his worth this season and is the main man for his team’s attack from the right side. On the other hand, Grealish has found his form slowly and steadily proving himself a danger for the opposition with his movement.

Kyle Walker vs Lautaro Martinez

Walker has played his role whether in his national team or at City, whenever asked. The Englishmen, well known for his pace, managed to keep big names like Vinicus Jr. and Sane silent during the UCL run. However, the challenge which lies ahead might be different.

Insidesport

Lautaro Martinez has been more of a space-maker and playmaker for his team this season and still ended up as the top goalscorer for his team this season. His duo formation with Dzeko and Lukaku has proven to be troublesome for defenders in Serie A. Will Walker be able to deal with it?

Ruben Dias vs Edin Dzeko

Dzeko has scored for Inter when they needed the most. On the other hand, City have a defender who has been consistent since joining them. It won’t be an easy deal for Dzeko to get past City defenders and score, but Dias might be the toughest challenge among the all.

However, with his positioning and experience, Dzeko can come on top against the Portuguese. But, will it happen? Only the game can answer that.
