With eye on the big game, Team India will be looking to rest their key players for the IND vs NED game but not Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Team India will face Netherlands in their final league match in Cricket World Cup at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on November 12. The Men in Blue have already qualified for the World Cup semi-final after winning 8 consecutive games. Rohit and Co. will play semi-final 1 on November 15.

With eye on the big game, Team India will be looking to rest their key players for the IND vs NED game. But the management is likely to continue playing star players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for the Netherlands clash.

Here’s are the three reason why Team India will not rest Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for IND vs NED game.

1. To continue momentum

Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been in top form in the ongoing tournament so far. While Kohli has scored 543 runs in eight matches, the Indian skipper is just behind with 442 runs in 8 innings. With the kind of form they are carrying, a rest could break the momentum which Team India would not want, especially in the semi-final.

2. A chance for ODI century No. 50 for Virat Kohli

Insidesport

Virat Kohli equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s most ODI centuries record in the previous game. The 35-year-old has a chance to surpass the Master Blaster with century number 50. The 35-year-old will be playing his IPL homeground – Chinnaswamy Stadium – which has been a batting paradise so far. Kohli will have a golden opportunity to break the record.

3. Opportunity for Rohit to make for 9 out of 9 wins

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will have the opportunity to break Sourav Ganguly’s record of leading the Indian side to most World Cup wins in a single edition. Team India secured 8 wins in the 2003 World Cup. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma will have to chance to secured the 9th win on the trot in the ongoing tournament.

Notably, Rohit has received a lot or praise from cricket pundits for the way he has led the team so far and the Indian skipper would be eager to continue his spotless run in the World Cup with a win over Netherlands.
