Bad news for football fans in India. If you are an Argentina fan or Brazil, you won’t be able to witness Copa America 2024 in India. Neither will there be any broadcast, nor will there be any live streaming for the tournament. The Live Streaming was with FanCode, but now 2 days before the start of the tournament, there are no broadcasters for the tournament in India.
No Live Streaming of Copa America in India
Initially FanCode was slated to live stream the tournament. But now, 2 days prior to the start, FanCode doesn’t have the streaming rights for Copa America 2024. InsideSport can confirm that FanCode won’t be live streaming the tournament. Later, FanCode took to social media to announce it to the fans.
InsideSport can also confirm that SonyLiv too won’t be live streaming the tournament either. Currently, Sony Liv holds the exclusive streaming rights for the ongoing UEFA Euro 2024 tournament.
“Copa America wont be streaming on FanCode. We are still updating the website. We will issue an updated listing by tomorrow,” said a FanCode official on terms of anonymity.
No Live Broadcast in India
While initially FanCode was designated to live stream the event. But there were no broadcasters ready to telecast the tournament live in India. And now things are really gloomy for Indian fans, be it for Brazil or Argentina. There is neither a broadcaster nor there is a website or app for live streaming.
“No, the Copa America 2024 won’t be broadcasted on Sony Sports,” confirmed an official from Sony Sports Network.
This website can also confirm that Sony Pictures won’t be broadcasting the tournament. With Lionel Messi and Co taking the field in 2 days, it is utter shameful that a country that loves football, has a population of 1.5 billion doesn’t have any broadcaster or live streamer for Copa America 2024.
