But the ace all-rounder needs to make amends to be in the race for the ICC T20 World Cup even though he is India’s vice-captain for the mega event.

As for bowling, he has leaked 186 runs in 17 overs. Adding more concern, Pandya didn’t bowl in 2 matches, much to the dismay of the selectors.

For Team India, the next target is the ICC T20 World Cup. India’s ICC jinx continues, having won the last trophy in 2013. India came close, but lost the ODI World Cup 2023 final to Australia at home. As a result, the Men in Blue will be desperate to perform well and lift the trophy in the T20 World Cup.
Now, Hardik Pandya is a vital cog in India’s setup. Not only as an able finisher, he also provides an extra pace option. This is important given that India faces a lack of options in the pace unit. Jasprit Bumrah is the only senior bowler available. Mohammed Shami is injured while Siraj’s poor form continues.
