Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant on Wednesday followed the footsteps of his idol Mahendra Singh Dhoni. After the DC vs GT match, Pant stayed back in the ground to click pictures with the ground staff of Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in New Delhi. Pant, notably, was adjudged the player of the match.

Rishabh Pant, who is making a comeback to cricket after 14 months with IPL 2024, returned to the ground in Delhi after 5 years, having last played here in 2019. DC started their IPL 2024 campaign by playing home matches in ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Pant was on sensational form against the Gujarat Titans on Wednesday. Batting first, the wicketkeeper-batter scored an unbeaten 88 off 43 balls. His innings, laced with five 4s and eight 6s, came at a crucial time. It helped Delhi Capitals pile on 224 runs on the board. GT fell short by 4 runs.
