The chief selectors of the India cricket team will pick the squad for IND vs ZIM series on Sunday (June 23). As per News18, Ajit Agarkar and co. will meet on Sunday to pick the side and the announcement is likely to be made on the same day. India will lock horns with Zimbabwe in a 5-match T20I series that commences from July 6.

Several big stars who are currently with the team at the T20 World Cup are expected to be rested for the series. This could pave way for the inclusion of many youngsters, who had an impressive run in IPL 2024, into the national side. The report further mentioned that the passports of certain Zimbabwe-bound players have already been collected.
India will see a fresh approach being deployed in the series. Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman is likely to accompany the side to Zimbabwe in place of head coach Rahul Dravid and will hand over the reins to the next coach before the Sri Lanka series.
One of Hardik Pandya or Suryakumar Yadav is expected to lead the young team, which has many IPL 2024 performers like Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Reddy, Harshit Ranan, Yash Dayal, Mayank Yadav, Riyan Parag, and Prabhsimran.
