‘India ready for the world’: New T20 World Cup promo involving Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma wins hearts

In the promo, Vande Mataram, the national song of India, has been given a tweak. Shankar Mahadevan, a famous bollywood composer, has sung the song.

T20 World Cup 2024’s broadcasting partner Star Sports on Tuesday released a promo of the upcoming tournament involving the Indian Cricket Team. The 30-seconds long promo, which involves several cricketers including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya, has the message that India are ready for the world.

Preparations to begin right after IPL

The T20 World Cup 2024, which will begin on June 2 and will be played in USA and the West Indies. The tournament are just over a month away. The Indian team is expected to begin their preparations immediately after the end of IPL 2024. It has also been reported that the selected Indian players who’s IPL team will not qualify for the playoffs will join the Indian camp. While the rest will join the camp as soon as the tournament is over.

Vande Mataram tweaked

Star Sports, in the build up to the tournament, released a promo on their social media handle. In the promo, Vande Mataram, the national song of India, has been given a tweak. Shankar Mahadevan, a famous bollywood composer, has sung the song. The picturization of the promo has been done on players who are almost certain to get a place in the India squad. Players such as Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya.
