Lucknow Super Giants clinched a comfortable 8-wicket win against Chennai Super Kings at the Ekana stadium on Friday. While KL Rahul played a captain’s knock to see his team through the game, it was completely overshadowed by Thala Dhoni’s whirlwind knock. Every single fan of MSD wants to see the ex-CSK skipper come out and hammer a few deliveries beyond the boundaries.

Dhoni has been doing just that and did nothing different on Friday. A below par batting performance from CSK, barring Jadeja’s slow-paced knock, was the turning point for the side in losing the game out of their hands. The away side’s bowlers were of no good either, getting smashed all around the park by just two batters who nearly finished the game off for LSG. While KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock’s partnership must be the talking point of the match apart from CSK’s struggles with their bowling, it was surely Mahi mania that stole the spotlight on this fun Friday.

A de Kock-Rahul show in Lucknow!

KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock took it on themselves to single-handely torment CSK bowlers. The duo frustrated the Men in Yellow who had no response to the onslaught that was unleashed on them. And when the breakthroughs came, it was tool ate as the damage had been done. The duo missed out on finishing the game together by a whisker.

MSD vs Mayank loading?

If pacer Mayank Yadav does play in the CSK vs LSG match on April 23, he will get a chance to bowl at MS Dhoni, who has been in sensational form this season. It could be a battle for the ages, where MSD will face speeds of over 150 kmph.

Jadeja shines, but at what cost?

Stepping up to the plate early at 33/2, Ravindra Jadeja proved his experience once again. The all-rounder played a crucial knock for CSK, anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 57 off 40 balls. Reaching his third IPL fifty in the 17th over, Jadeja couldn’t resist celebrating with his signature ‘sword’ celebration, a gesture usually reserved for international.
