Karthik’s unbeaten knock of 53 runs came off a mere 23 balls, a masterclass in aggressive batting. His knock was crucial in counteracting Jasprit Bumrah’s fiery spell of 5/21 for MI. The 38-year-old batsman smashed five boundaries and four lusty sixes, taking apart the MI bowling attack with exceptional strokeplay.
