Moeen Ali
Like MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali’s retirement also seems certain after IPL 2024. This 36-year-old star spinner has played 62 IPL matches to date and has been associated with CSK since 2021. In these 62 matches, he has taken 35 wickets with an impressive bowling economy of 7.01.
He has performed remarkably well for CSK in a very short period. However, considering his age and CSK’s inclination towards young players this season, he might be at the top of CSK’s release list and may not play next season.
Mitchell Santner
Mitchell Santner is another name who may not play next season, as this Kiwi star hasn’t made much impact in his IPL career to date. Coming into the team as an all-rounder, he didn’t perform as per his talent. In the 15 matches he played for CSK in the IPL, he has taken 13 wickets with a bowling economy of 6.88.

Shardul Thakur

Thakur’s bowling economy has been a concern for CSK ,in IPL 2024 also , having played three matches to date , he has conceded more than 100 runs with a bowling economy of 10.40. Considering this scenario, he may also soon receive the release slip and may not play next IPL for CSK.
